“I attribute my success to me acquiring my engineering degree, which opened attractive job and growth opportunities for me”. The thought that thousands of poor but brilliant professional students may not complete their education for the lack of financial resources kept bothering me. This led to the idea of PEF and its mission: Poverty Alleviation through Professional Education. PEF is educating 1900 students this year out of which PEF-USA raised a funding of approximately 450 professional students. This year, due to Corona virus, a lot of funding has been diverted to the immediate needs of hunger, affecting PEF’s ability to raise funds. We are trying our best to secure enough funds so that none of our 1900 students are forced to leave their college because they don’t have the money to pay their fees. We therefore urge you to support us at this critical juncture so that the future of these brilliant students is secured.

PEF Chairman invited to speak at the Annual conference of OPEN-Chicago

On the 29th September 2019, our Chairman Mr. Hafiz Haq was invited by the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs in Chicago ( OPEN-Chicago ) to their annual conference, where 250 prominent entrepreneurs and businessmen from the Pakistani diaspora joined. OPEN Chicago wanted to show PEF as a successful & outstanding example of Social Entrepreneurship, which has achieve tremendous growth over last 10 years, while making a concrete & substantial contribution to the society.

A symposium on Poverty alleviation & Professional Education in Houston

On the 6th Oct 2019, PEF and the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs in Houston jointly arranged a symposium on the importance of Professional Education in alleviating poverty from Pakistan. It also showed how PEF’s work is directly contributing to the poverty alleviation project in Pakistan. The event was held at the prestigious location of Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. More than 125 people attended the event.
