This is the story of Hafiz-ul-Haq, the founder of the Professional Education Foundation (PEF), and the journey that led him to dedicate his success and experience to helping talented students across Pakistan. After spending 33 years working with leading companies, including Philips, followed by 17 years building his own ventures.

At 65, he reflected on his journey and realized how much his own education had shaped the opportunities he received.

In 2009, PEF was founded with a simple belief: poverty should never be the reason a deserving student is unable to get an education. Today, PEF works with 41 universities across Pakistan to help talented and deserving students pursue professional degrees in fields such as medicine, engineering, IT, business, and more.

This is the story of one man’s journey, one decision, and a vision to build a stronger Pakistan through professional education.
